Apologies to all those trying to contact me during the day by e-mail, but the little virus problem we had at work seems to still be causing a problem with our router, and as a result we don’t have any network access at all. Hopefully it will get fixed soon, but those responsible for fixing it have had Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday and yet it’s still broken.

When I get back into the office on Monday morning I wonder if they network boffins will have finished tidying up after their computer virus infection. When I was still at my previous employer we never had that sort of problem. *smile*
Whilst my employer is coming to terms with identifying 85 employees to make redundant BBC News Online reports that the Internation Labour Organisation is predicting that "up to 24 million jobs could be lost by the end of next year.". Our current problem is clearly a tiny drop in the ocean.
It's been a lovely weekend. Yesterday S and I went out for a walk around Bredon Hill, just to the south west of Evesham. (The map is downstairs and I just can't be bothered to go an look up the map reference. No-one's going to be that interested, now are they?) The weather was perfect - bright and clear to start with, and when it did cloud over it wasn't heavy rain bearing clouds, just high fluffy ones. There was a mist in the valleys for the whole day, but up on the top it was clear for miles - the vale of Evesham disappeared off into the distance, an array of fields and hedgerows and no doubt many orchards. I haven't been out walking properly for ages and it was good to feel the wind in my fact again. "We should do this sort of thing more often, just like we used to" was muttered more than once...
